This 4,669 sqft (approx.) custom home is located at the gateway to Hopkinton's premier Highland Park neighborhood. It is sited on a private 1.38ac, stone-wall terraced lot featuring a large custom walk-out patio and large backyard. Renovated by a preeminent builder, the oversized custom kitchen doubles as a dance floor when entertaining. The renovation includes a custom mahogany wrap-around porch, mudroom, 1/2 bath and walk-in entryway closet. The open floor plan connects the kitchen with a great room featuring soaring ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the large, private backyard. There are new & refinished hardwood floors, crown molding, a beautiful custom fireplace, and elegant dining room. The 2nd floor offers an expansive master suite w/ vaulted ceiling, custom his/hers closets and a large laundry room off the Master. There’s also a 713 sqft (approx) finished basement consisting of two contiguous rooms, a full bath and a large 4ft X 4ft window which fills the space with natural light.
Among the things we have loved about our home… Our kitchen/great room setup, combined with multi-room, indoor/outdoor high fidelity sound is great for entertaining and there's never a bad seat for the big games! With the BBQ grill on the back-side of the farmer’s porch, we are able to grill year-round in any weather. We also love the fact that dual-career couples can have their home offices side by side separated only by atrium barn doors. We are so glad we added the laundry room off the master bedroom. The location makes the dreaded laundry chore so much more efficient. Over the years, our finished basement setup proved highly advantageous as our family grew and our needs evolved. While one side transformed from playroom, to game room to home gym, the other side always served as media room with an oversized sectional/pull out couch, perfect for accommodating overnight guests. Most important of all, we loved this location: Hopkinton CC is across the street and we are just minutes from 495, the Pike, and the Southboro MBTA station. We loved being able to avoid those awful center-of-town rush hour traffic jams. Highland Park is full of great families with children of all ages. It is a very close-knit community we will be sad to leave.
